PRODUCTS & SERVICES    Sample of General Machining Capabilities This multi-station progressive die was built recently for a local customer. When installed in the customer's punch press it stamps out 31 5mm discs from radio active gold foil that is .005 thick. These discs are then installed in the customer's product and used in every day items such as smoke detectors. Because of the extremely thin material, punch to die clearance is .0002. The die also uses a guided stripper and ball bearing die set. Since the die's end use is in a radio active environment, all punches and die buttons are replaceable, having been ground to exacting tolerances. The customer expects to produce upwards of 10,000,000 parts from this die over the next 10-15 years.
